As the water evaporates on the fins, it absorbs heat from the surrounding air, thereby cooling the air. The axial fan draws air into the cooler through louvers, causing the air to flow across the fins from below, and then exhausts the cooled, moist air into the atmosphere.

High Efficiency: The evaporation of water has a high latent heat of vaporization (approximately 570 kcal/kg at one atmosphere), which significantly enhances the overall heat transfer efficiency.
